Hello I'm Iwona

As a mom who loves to travel and explore the world with my two very active boys, I understand the unique challenges that come with merging these two passions! I've experienced the struggles of navigating airports with bags filled to the brim with baby essentials. Let’s be honest, traveling takes on a whole new dimension when you have kids. Every part of your suitcase, backpack and purse has baby stuff in it. I often laughed (and cried!) that the tinier the human, the more stuff they need!  I know the frantic search for a white noise machine, the hunt for a crib and the longing for a camera to keep a watchful eye on my little one, or a high chair! It was a symphony of challenges that needed a solution. 

Transitions can be challenging, so I tried to prioritize comfort and familiarity when choosing the rental gear to make the transition as little disruptive as possible. Santa Teresa is beautiful and unique, but it is also very remote. So, when I was creating this “Home away from Home” selection of items, I tried to think about the main parts of the routine- sleep, play, eat, and explore. 

I have traveled to Santa Teresa for many years, my younger one was born here, and I remember how hard it was to get good quality supplies or equipment for them when they were little, or even now. I remember trying to eat while holding the baby on my lap- it was either him or me eating, never both of us! Similarly with sleep, one year we rolled pillows and blankets to make sure the older guy didn’t roll off the bed, next year, we were lucky to have Pack & Play, and yet another year he did roll off the bed :) 

I am now living here. My older son goes to a local Waldorf school, and the younger one goes to a local preschool. Both boys love helping me with deliveries or assembling the equipment, and the older guy loves being my ‘business manager’ (that’s what he calls himself). Anyways, all of this added up, and Santa Baby Rentals was born, and we are here today to make your little one’s vacation feel like home away from home!
